At the Landform Dynamics Laboratory, we conduct research on the fast-moving landform phenomena (disasters) that occur as a result of the interaction between solid particles, such as snow and sand, and fluids, such as air and water. Our investigation involves combining observation, experimentation, and theory to understand the mechanisms behind these phenomena. We are dedicated to elucidating this mechanism, developing methods for predicting disasters, and assessing disaster risks.
